Ashley Takami
    Ashley Takami is a half Japanese half Burmese who was born in the United States and grew up in multiple countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and Japan.  She has been heavily involved with Burmese community in the Bay Area, serving as president of the Burma Association at Berkeley during her college years and volunteering weekly as a tutor for Empowering Youth with Education - Burma.  

    Starting this fall Ashley is going to be a graduate student at San Jose State University pursing her masters in Biomedical Devices.  When she is not eating good homemade Burmese food or enjoying a good book she is most likely at a dojo practicing kendo, Japanese swordsmanship.
